Shane R. Kennedy was born, raised, and educated in San Luis Obispo. He graduated from San Luis Obispo High School in 2009, and California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo (Cal Poly) in 2014 with a B.A. in Philosophy and minor in Law & Society.

Shane earned his law degree from Western State College of Law in Irvine, California, graduating magna cum laude in 2019. While in law school, Shane was elected as the ABA Media Alerts Editor of the Law Review, served as Vice-President of the Business Law Association, interned with a general counsel of an international corporation, and studied international intellectual property at University College Dublin in Ireland during the Summer of 2018.

Following his admission to the California Bar in 2019, Shane moved back to San Luis Obispo to practice law in his hometown. He joined Ronca & Associates in October of 2021, where he focuses his practice on business law, real estate law, estate planning, trust administration, and probate.

Shane is happy to be back in San Luis Obispo with his wife, Brooke, and daughters, Regan & Millie. During his free time, you can find him enjoying the outdoors with his family at the beach, one of the many mountains, Lake Nacimiento, or a central coast brewery/winery.
